Micrografx may be gone, but there still is some support out there for one of the

Best Photo Editing programs of all time.

The image above was created using Corel Photobook and The Hidden Tools™.

The graduated blend between the Micgrografx and Corel logo images was done using the

"Merge Mask" Hidden Tool. The word "MICROGRAFX" and the red and blue "M"

were originally on a black background. Instead of using a complex mask, I used the

"Color Shield" Hidden Tool to protect the color black and then drew a rectangular

mask around what I wanted. When I hit CTRL-C to copy, the black background

was left alone and I got what I wanted without the chore of drawing a

complex mask. The border was created using the "Image Edges"

Wizard that is part of Photobook/PP10DCE.
